REQUEST FOR INFORMATION RELATED TO PROFILES OF LICENSED FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS.
The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (“FSCA”) published the FSCA Information Request 2 of 2021 (GENERAL) (Information Request) on the 11th of October 2021.This communication requested licensed financial institutions to login to the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (“FAIS”) e-portal and ensure that the company information is up to date including information relating to:
- relevant persons including directors and shareholders;
- management including pension fund and trustees;
- compliance officers, responsible persons and principle officers;
- accounting officers and or information in respect of the Audit partners; and
- contact information;
This information is required to:
- Obtain verified information for FSP’s;
- Ensure that the information held by the FSCA on the FSP’s behalf is accurate, up to date and complete; and
- Identify and rectify any discrepancies on database records.
The FSCA has a made a guidance notice available on the e-portal to assist with this process.
The deadline to for compliance is fast approaching on the 15th of December 2021. Financial Service Providers (“FSP”) are also reminded that it is a legal requirement to notify the FSCA within 15 days of ALL profile changes in the company. Failure to comply with both these requirements is an offence.
